First Light provides
- Emergency shelter for the homeless women and women with children in the community
- Overflow emergency shelter for homeless women and women with children when other shelters are full, when our emergency shelter beds are full, and for guests coming in after regular business hours
- Permanent Supportive Housing for 9 women who have severe mental illnesses and are disabled
- Individual case management provided by a well-qualified team of professional Social Workers
- Day programs such as Art Therapy, Group Therapy, Life Skills classes and Bible Study for those who wish to participate
- A safe, comfortable, hospitable home for some of the community’s most needy individuals

Our mission is to work with homeless women and their children to create hospitality in a safe and nurturing community, to encourage them to maintain dignity, to find hope, to seek opportunity and to grow spiritually, thereby achieving their full potential.
