Volunteer Liaisons

Volunteer liaisons are people who serve as an ongoing connection between First Light and a large group. They are volunteer coordinators on behalf of the group, church or agency they represent. These individuals attend two planning meetings a year to schedule their organization for serving meals and/or staying overnight. The liaisons gather, inform, and schedule their groups for each night during their committed week of service.

Some examples of groups that currently have liaisons:

  • The law firm that serves dinner twice a month

  • The church group that serves breakfast on the fourth Saturday of every month

  • The church group that provides dinners and conducts two supply drives per year

  • The college students who serve dinners and have fun night every Wednesday

  • The group of corporate women who serve dinner and stay overnight once a month and collect money to donate to First Light
