Tena Payne, owner of Earthborn Studios in Leeds, has been a supporter of First Light’s gala for years. Last year, she began doing a fundraiser called Empty Bowls during the same time she does the Blue Light Special Art Show. Basically, you can make a $25 donation and get a delicious bowl of soup made by one of Birmingham’s prominent chefs, and you take home a bowl handmade by one of many donating potters. You can do this all while getting some of your Christmas shopping done at the Blue Light Special Art Show! There will be discounted art available in all mediums by more than 50 local artists.

Times: 9-4 art sale, Empty Bowls starts at 10:30 and ends when the soup is gone!
Cost: $25 for a bowl of soup made by local chefs Chris Hastings, Sean Butler and more, plus take home a handmade bowl
All proceeds from Empty Bowls benefit First Light!
